Niharicka Singh runs a comedy YouTube channel by the name, Captain Nick. She enjoys a fan following of over 2 million across the platforms. Niharicka studied journalism and wanted to become a radio jockey. But she couldn’t find a job. She was interning with an FM station back in 2016. She made some funny lip-sync videos on an app called Dubsmash just for fun.
Her friends found those videos very funny and suggested that she starts a Youtube Channel. She wanted to go ahead and give this a shot and started a Youtube channel called Captain Nick. Niharicka is one of the most popular creators of the country. She has recently delivered a TEDx talk.
Becoming an internet star sometimes can be hard, you have to deal with a lot of hate and criticism from people whom you have never met. This can take a toll on your mental health and your self-worth. Also, you have a lot of pressure to stay relevant and become better and keep your audience hooked. In this episode, we discuss how to deal with critics, why everything you see on the internet is not true and also you get to hear some dark sides of becoming a creator.
